We're running a 50,000 m² facility here at JDE Auto. We've been at this for years, and yeah, we hold that IATF 16949 cert. But honestly, the paper doesn't mean much if the parts aren't good. We do more than just injection molding; we help you figure out if your design will actually work on the factory floor. From the initial mold flow analysis to the final assembly, we try to catch the problems before they cost you money.
What Actually Makes a Part "Good"?
Everyone says their parts are high quality. Let's talk specifics. For us, it's about the details. Like, if the wall thickness is off by half a millimeter, you get sink marks. Or if the tolerances are too tight in the wrong places, the mold just won't release the part properly. We spend a lot of time picking the right material-whether that's heat-resistant PBT for electronics or tough PA (Nylon) for parts that take a beating.
Here's what we cover on a regular basis:
• Automotive & EV: High-precision connectors, sensor casings, and battery system components.
• Industrial Applications: Robust housings and insulated parts built to last.
• Medical & Lab Equipment: Cleanroom-compatible components that need absolute precision.
From Prototypes to the Real Deal
One mistake I see a lot: people skipping prototypes. They go straight to mass production and then realize the design is flawed. That's a nightmare. We push for prototype runs using the actual production resin. Why? Because 3D printed plastic feels totally different from the real thing. We need to test how the snap-fits hold up and how the part handles heat. It's better to find out it fails during a test than during a 10,000-unit run.
Once the design is locked in, my tooling team gets to work. We machine everything in-house. We use SKD61 steel for the cores and cavities-it's expensive but it lasts. We also spend a lot of time on the cooling channels. If the mold cools evenly, you get better parts and faster cycle times. Simple as that.
Our three focus areas for tooling:
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Optimizing part geometry to reduce stress points and improve mold fill.
• Precision Machining: Using SKD61 and other premium steels to ensure mold longevity.
• Cycle Efficiency: Engineering cooling channels and gating systems to maximize output without sacrificing quality.

Keeping Costs Under Control
Look, I get it. Price matters. But "cheap" tooling usually ends up costing more in the long run because of repairs and downtime. We try to find a balance. Sometimes, we'll look at a drawing and say, "Hey, if you relax this tolerance here, we can remove a slide from the mold." Removing a slide drops the tooling cost significantly and makes the mold less likely to break.
We're not afraid to tell you if a design is over-engineered. Our goal is to make the mold simpler, not more complicated. A few things we often suggest:
• Draft angle adjustments to improve ejection.
• Wall thickness modifications to prevent warping.
• Tolerance relaxations where functionally appropriate.
• Material substitutions that save cost without sacrificing performance.
Why Work With Us?
Choosing a supplier is a pain. You send a drawing, wait a week, and get a number. We're different. We're invested in your success because if your part fails, our name is on the mold. We've got stamping, molding, and assembly all under one roof. That means less shipping and fewer headaches for you.
Some of the things our customers appreciate:
• Automotive-grade quality management - full traceability under IATF 16949.
• Integrated capabilities - molding, stamping, and assembly in one facility.
• Honest engineering feedback - we'll tell you if your design needs work.
• Custom OEM and ODM services - tailored to your exact requirements.
